Are you a Volvo fan craving a bit of sporty touch in your vehicle? You may have a match made for you. At the 2014 North American International Auto Show just earlier this week, the Swedish brand revealed the Volvo XC Coupe concept, an athletic, nimble-looking crossover coupe.

The XC Coupe concept captures the design cues from the Coupe Concept that debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show with its 21-inch alloy wheels shielded by muscular wheel arches, a bold grille, taller roofline, T-shaped DRL lights, and a strong connection with high-tech sports gear.

The vehicle's look draws inspiration form modern sports equipment and by Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture which presses a confident stance as well as distinctive designs and proportions.

"Those who love extreme sports freely seek thrills and challenges. To ensure that they make it back in one piece, they prefer high-performance equipment that offers the ultimate sense of freedom and protection. The Volvo Concept XC Coupe is perfectly in tune with this active lifestyle," explains Thomas Ingenlath, the Senior Vice President Design of Volvo Car Group.1
