Ever since its introduction last autumn, the 2016 Volvo XC90 continues to earn an abundance of praise from critics and consumers, alike. Earlier today, Volvo issued a press release announcing the latest recognition for the premium crossover. Last night, at a media event related to the Denver Auto Show, the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press (RMAP) awarded the XC90 the title of "Crossover of the Year."

The RMAP panel of jurors evaluated several models that were either all-new or significantly revised for the 2016 model year, taking into account aspects such as performance, fuel economy, value, and vehicle features. Three finalists were then voted on: the Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Murano and Volvo XC90. When the voting was complete, the XC90 was declared the winner.

“The Rockies and greater Midwest are very important markets for Volvo and we are grateful to receive this honor,” said Lex Kerssemakers, President and CEO, Volvo Car USA. “Volvo understands people in this area want to lead healthy, active lifestyles and the XC90 enables that.”

To see for yourself what sets the XC90 apart from the rest, come visit Volvo of Burlingame for a test drive, today. We will be happy to show you around.
